Clubs at Vaux Big Picture High School begin and flourish based on student interest. Facilitators will provide a safe place and fun programming that fosters the academic, professional, and personal growth of our student body through mentorship and social and emotional learning, ensuring students are developing a growth mindset and coping skills.
Drama Club invites students to participate in theatre. Drama Club is held throughout the school year. Students meet two to three times per week to prepare and rehearse a theatre production, which is held at the end of the school year.
Student Government works with staff leadership to promote a positive school culture, raise money for student needs, and host fun activities throughout the school year. Students participate in elections held in the fall. Student Government meetings are held twice per week.
Spoken Word invites students to showcase their voice through spoken word poetry. Participants meet twice per week to prepare and practice their spoken word pieces. Students have the opportunity to share their work at the Philly Slam League's poetry slams held throughout the school year.
The Cougar Voice student newspaper invites students to learn about journalism and write about issues that are meaningful to them for a monthly print publication. Students meet twice per month and newspapers are printed once per month.
